We took a felucca boat ride to Banana Island yesterday, enjoying the sunset and a light breeze amidst Luxor's heat. The island has retained its pristine charm and is a beautiful oasis of calm in this tourist frenzied city.
We were joined by a cute Pakistani couple on their 2 year anniversary, who we exchanged hearty Egypt scam stories with.
Bonus: you'll get served free bananas from Banana Island along with hot tea, which is supposed to help cool you down.
