Red Light District in Athens

Tonight, we were looking for a fun dinner venue for our last night in Greece. We decided to take a walk around the neighborhood, and before long, we had turned one wrong corner too many. We suddenly found ourselves in a neighborhood littered with men of suspicious character.

The Greeks, generally expressive with approving noises as you pass by, seemed in this instance just too brazen. Suddenly, a car stopped to inform us politely "You are prostitute area. I can give you ride. Save you." It all made sense. We rushed past the graffiti and the sleazy men as fast as our heels would take into a safer neighborhood. Crisis averted!
